
You were selected as a recipient for the Archways to Opportunity Tuition Assistance or approved for the Lackawanna College Partnership! In order to complete the process and receive your tuition assistance, please read carefully and follow the step by step instructions below. Please allow up to 5 business days to process your application once submitted. It's important to have all of the information listed below before beginning your application. The deadline for completion is 11/30.

You will need:

Social Security Number

Your restaurant address, position, and start date

Your course term

Your school and course information (number of courses, start, and end dates)

Dollar amount cost per course

Some colleges do not provide this information. You may need to reach out to your college's financial aid department for this number. If your college has flat-rate tuition, simply divide the total amount owed by the number of classes you are taking. Example: Total tuition cost $4500. Employee is enrolled in 4 classes. Each class costs $1125.

It must be 45 days or less before the start of the term to apply
Once you have this information:

Complete the full request form with your information and click Submit
What happens next?

EdAssist will review your request and ensure that all information matches the itemize tuition bill attached

If your request is denied due to missing information or needs to be corrected, you will receive an email with details. You should also monitor your application status by logging into your account.

After EdAssist verifies your application, they will reach out to our office for approval. This can take up to 7 days for our office to receive and an additional 3-5 business days to approve.

If you have not received notification that your application has been accepted within two weeks of EdAssist’s approval, please email Taylor Noldy at taylor@muellermcd.com.

If your application is approved, the company will email you a form that requires your signature. Print and sign the document, then scan and submit to your college’s billing department. After you have completed this step, your school and EdAssist will communicate to finalize the transfer of the funds.

A: Follow up with your college's financial aid office to ensure they have sent the documentation to EdAssist. If yes, contact EdAssist via the Live Chat on their website.

Q: Why was my application denied?
A: Applications can be denied for many reasons. Some troubleshooting tips: Were you contacted by someone from Mueller Family McDonald's to state that you are eligible for the tuition assistance? Have you already received all of your allotted funding for this year? Did you fully complete your application? After you have checked all of these, please email Taylor at taylor@muellermcd.com.
